Last night we saw fireflies in the corner lot where the grass grows tall.
We stopped so we could watch for a bit. Again and again, we pointed and said, "There's one. Over there." And, "Wow!" Now I want to go back and see them again.

Hi Chrissy, I love to take a stroll at night in July in Truro. The fireflies light up alongside of the road, in the bushes, grass and trees. Truro in many places is wild and wooly. Not manicured. I think the lightning bugs like it that way! The other great thing is beach plums grow here. But they won’t be ripe til August. I have a source for jams and jellies and when I asked the owner/maker what her favorite was...& now I’m hooked. Have you ever tasted it?

I'm just a tad bit jealous of everyone who lives where there are fireflies. I live in the western US where we do not have fireflies.
